Just returned to work today after a bad flare. I was talking to a friend about how painful my joints had been and what a struggle it had been to walk/ stand and that I should have really stayed off another day but I couldn't as I had A level and GCSE classes today.
Some idiot was listening in and remarked 'you could always teach sitting down'. It was meant to be a joke- ha ha very funny!!!
I didn't bother to reply as it wasn't worth wasting the effort. Plonker!

Must be the week for it Liz!! Had a meeting with my manager and HR today, as i'm currently off work. When my manager commented I had lost weight, stupid HR woman said...."ooooooh well I need to lose ten pounds, I could do with a bit of what you've got!!!!!"   Gobsmacking!!! Clairexx

he did it again today- he's the guy who does the timetable and I informed him that as from sept, i will not be working on wednesdays- the head has agreed it. I told him that it was due to my health problems- i'm not a picky part timer who wants my own way. His reply? that everyboy tries it on with health probems to get the day off they want. I pointed out that he had made an inappropriate comment and maybe he would like to tell the head before i do

If he carries on this way Maria, I think we will all have to arrange to "meet" him in the playground!!!!
Don't let him grind you down he sounds a right ****! ;)
It's a shame that every workplace seems to have at least one!
We should feel sorry for them!
